The juror's selections for the Sixth Annual Art and Earth Exhibit are in! The Juror selected 47 works by 35 artists from 16 states out of 154 works submitted.

The juror for the 2016 exhibit is Dr. Douglas Kinnett former Coordinator of the Art Education Major at Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, WV.

The exhibit will be on display at the Berkeley Art Works gallery, 116 North Queen Street in Martinsburg, WV from March 30 - April 30, 2016. If you are able, we hope you can join us for the opening reception, Saturday, April 9 from 4-6 pm at The Berkeley Art Works, 116 North Queen Street, Martinsburg, WV. Juror Doug Kinnett will be on hand and will present a talk about his development of "Crit Groups" to help artists develop.

Accepted Artists Information:

Please read over the information below regarding the shipping/delivery of the work.

All work must arrive between March 21 and March 27, 2016.

All 2-dimensional work must be suitably framed, equipped with wire, ready for hanging as appropriate for the medium. 3-D works must ready for display as appropriate for the work.

Works accepted for the exhibition are to be hand delivered or shipped to:

Hand Delivered Work:

For hand delivered work, The Berkeley Art Works hours are Wed (Mar 23) 11-5, Thu (Mar 24) 11-5, Fri (Mar 25) 11-5, Sat (Mar 26) 10-5, Sun (Mar 27) 12-3. If you cannot deliver during these times, please contact us to make arrangements.


If you cannot deliver your work and must ship, please notify us ahead of time to ensure that someone will be available to receive the work at the gallery address. For shipped work, please follow these instructions:

Shipped works should arrive between Monday March 21 and Friday, March 25, 2016.

IMPORTANT: US Mail is not delivered to the gallery address. Please use a shipping service that provides tracking information such as UPS or FEDEX. Most towns have locations where you can drop packages off for these services. Please email the tracking number(s) to us at Please retain your tracking number.

Work must be shipped prepaid to Berkeley Art Works at the address above in sturdy, reusable packing so that your work can be safely returned to you. (Please no styrofoam peanuts!) Plexiglass must be used on all shipped works, no glass.

For return shipping you must include a pre-paid return shipping label. You should be able to purchase this at the location where you drop off the work or online. Failure to provide the pre-paid shipping label will cause delays in your work being returned to you.

Pick Up of Work at the End of the Exhibit

The exhibit is advertised to be on display through 5pm on Saturday, April 30. Artists picking up their work at the conclusion of the show must do so between 12 and 3pm on Sunday, May 1 or between 11am and 2pm on Monday, May 4. If you cannot pick up during those times, please contact us to make arrangements. (Note that our storage is very limited so we will not be able to keep any work longer than a few days.)

The Berkeley Arts Council will retain a 30% commission on all sales. While we prefer to keep a purchased work in the exhibit to the end of the exhibit, purchased works may be released immediately to the customer at the discretion of the gallery management.
